The human mind is powerful, adaptable and resilient.

We have more control over our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours than we realize.

Simply by changing our thoughts, our emotional reactions can be changed, and as a result, our behaviours can be changed as well.

We can unlearn bad habits. We can learn new ways of thinking, and through our minds we are able to create permanent changes.

It is our thoughts that create our emotions, and this in turn leads to our behaviours.

If we learn how to control our thoughts, we can control our emotions and behaviors as well.

In fact, it is not the situation itself, but our PERCEPTION of a situation, that determines how we feel about it and how we react to it.

Our perspective of a situation can change if we change the way we look at it.

For example, if we have a negative viewpoint of a situation, it causes a negative emotional reaction.

And if we have a positive viewpoint of a situation, it leads to improved emotional wellbeing.

Our actions are chosen based on what we think, and especially how we feel.

So it stands to reason, if we change the way we think, it changes our emotional state, which influences our decision making and leads to better decisions.

And when we change our negative thoughts, we improve our mood, and stop self-sabotaging behaviours, and “self-fulfilled prophecies.”

I know I say this a lot, but we all make mistakes, it’s how we deal with them that matters.

You can’t change the past, but you can change your beliefs about and because of the past.
